Our Mission Statement:

To act as a resource for information & to provide services to the landowners for the conservation of natural resources.

 

The Teller-Park Conservation district was established on June 11, 1942 according to the Soil Conservation Law of Colorado.

Land ownership within the district is comprised of 761,715 acres of private lands, 135,117 acres of State lands and 863,924 acres of Federal lands.

The various land uses are:

  • Rangeland – 1,032,555 acres
  • Non-irrigated pastureland – 16,000 acres
  • Irrigated hayland – 11,600 acres
  • Recreation land – 463,996 acres
  • Urban land – 4,785 acres
  • Other lands (including mined land) – 211,820 acres
